Excel for your bookkeeper
When the year is to be closed, or your bookkeeper asks for your expenses, you can download them all as one spreadsheet.
The screenshots show heyArtist in Danish; the labels are named in English here as they appear when you switch the app to English.

- Click Expenses in the menu.
- Click Export to Excel at the top right.
- The file downloads to your computer. Send it to your bookkeeper, or open it in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.
What is in the sheet?
Section titled “What is in the sheet?”Each expense is one row with the columns:
| Column | |
|---|---|
| Date | The date on the receipt. |
| Vendor | Who you bought from. |
| Description | Your description of the expense. |
| Category | The category, or Uncategorised. |
| Project | The project the expense belongs to. |
| Amount | The amount as a real number. |
| Currency | Such as DKK or EUR. |
| Status | Verified, Needs review or Processing…. |
Amounts and dates are real numbers and dates in the sheet, not text. Your bookkeeper can add up, sort and filter straight away. The currency has its own column, so it is easy to see only the krone amounts, for example.
The sheet does not contain the receipts themselves. If your bookkeeper needs to see them, you can download all of the account’s data, receipts included, under Settings. See Settings.
